Alexander Wong is a Graduate of History from the University of Hong Kong and of Law from the Inns of Court School of Law in England. He is a Barrister-of-law of Gray’s Inn practising in Hong Kong after being called to the Bar of England and Wales and various other Common Law jurisdictions including Hong Kong, Singapore and two states of Australia since late 1970s.

Became a member of the World Baden-Powell Fellowship in 2002 and joined the WSF Board in 2016.

Alex joined Scouting at the age of 11 and has served as Assistant Chief Commissioner and International Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong for over 18 years. He has also held various other Regional (including Asia Pacific Scout Region and Africa Scout Region) and World Scouting’s appointments. He was the past Chairman of the APR Governance Review Task Force (2006-2012) and also the Past Chairman of the World Scout Constitutions Committee (2011-2014).

Alex currently is the Honorary Legal Adviser of the Scout Association of Hong Kong and Honorary Secretary of the BP Fellowship - Hong Kong Chapter, which has near 100 active Baden-Powell Fellows. He is also a Consultant and Adviser of the Africa Scout Foundation Board. He received over 50 Scout Medals and Awards from various National Scout Organizations and Regions including the Africa Elephant from the Africa Scout Region, the Distinguished Service Award from the Asia Pacific Region and the Bronze Wolf from WOSM in 2010.
