Ms Maria Florencia Cagliero
Flor is passionate about numbers, reports, youth empowerment, and Scouting—but when combined, she truly thrives. Originally from Argentina and actively involved in the Movement for over a decade, she is shaping her professional career in fundraising. At the World Scout Foundation, she combines her expertise in financial analysis with her dedication to social impact, supporting causes she deeply believes in—particularly Scouting.
Flor joined the World Scout Foundation Team in March 2025.
After earning her accounting degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina, Flor moved to Switzerland in 2022, where she spent a year and a half volunteering at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre. She then worked for over a year at a Swiss accounting firm, gaining valuable experience in bookkeeping and financial management. These experiences reinforced her interest in nonprofit finance and sustainable fundraising.
Her extensive involvement in Scouting has led her to take on leadership roles at the local, national, and global levels. Within Scouts de Argentina, she served as the youngest International Commissioner, led national fundraising efforts, and coordinated the Community Involvement Centre in Córdoba, fostering youth-led social impact initiatives. Her ability to manage resources, build strong partnerships, and drive engagement has been key in supporting the growth of these initiatives.
Flor is fluent in Spanish and English and is currently learning German. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, cooking for family and friends, discovering new board games, and exploring the outdoors.
