Born in Nigeria, Mischa travelled the world with her father, an Economist with the World Bank. She grew up outside Washington D.C. and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and and MBA from Saint John's University.

Her career in international development and humanitarian aid began in Rome. She obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Saint John’s University while interning for the United Nations World Food Programme during the Iraq war. Mischa’s 20+ years of experience in fundraising and project management spans over three continents (Europe, Africa and Asia), working for various large and small non-profit organisations, including the Red Cross, Salvation Army, International Blue Cross and the United Nations.

Mischa Joined the World Scout Foundation Team in September 2022. 

Mischa has a passion for philanthropy and digital transformation. She volunteers for various small foundations to help build fundraising and marketing strategies, increase brand awareness and promote sustainable financial growth. She has served in various roles on the Board of the American Women’s Club of Bern and contributes to her local community as a member of the “Eltern Forum” for her children’s school.  

Mischa is a dual citizen of Switzerland and the USA and has two children. She speaks English, German, Swiss German, Italian and Spanish.
