David Huestis is a resident of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

He received his education at:

  • Saint John High School - Honors Graduate
  • Acadia University
  • Dalhousie University

His professional designations include Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Certified Professional Insurance Agents Society of America (CPIA).  He is a graduate of a number of Industry related courses.

Became a member of the World Baden-Powell Fellowship in 1992 and joined the WSF Board in 1995.

His business activities include:

  • President and CEO The Huestis Insurance Group- operating over 40 insurance agencies in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, as members of the Group
  • Associated with a number of companies, not related to the Insurance Industry, operating in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

  • Recipient of Queen’s Jubilee Medal
  • Recipient of Silver Wolf – Scout Canada’s Highest Award

David is married to Faye and has three children, Paul, Peter (Betsy) and Jennifer.

David moved from being an active Board Member (with voting rights) to a Life Member of the Board (without voting rights) on 18th April 2024.
