
Dr Jens Ehrhardt
Dr. Jens Ehrhardt (Munich, Germany) was elected as a member of the Board of World Scout Foundation and its Investment Committee in 2005. Jens has been involved in Scouting since 1955, when he joined Scouting in Hamburg (Viking-group).
Jens is chief executive officer of DJE Kapital AG, one of the largest bank-independent Asset Management Companies in Germany. Jens, whose talent in managing assets, was already apparent during his economic studies in the 1960s, is the founder, majority shareholder and Chairman of the company.
Became a member of the World Baden-Powell Fellowship in 2001 and joined the WSF Board in 2005.
In 1974, five years after becoming a partner of what was then the largest independent asset management company in Germany, he received his doctorate for a thesis on the factors that influence equity markets. In the same year he laid the foundation for the DJE group of companies, which he has led ever since. In the same year he founded the investment information company “Finanzwoche” which publishes economical and political information weekly since then. He is author and co-author of many books during the last 40 years. Many articles in leading economic magazins and newspapers are published annually.
