U-Report

U- Report is a free SMS system connecting Scouts and young people around the world to work together for peace and positive change. 19 national U-Report programmes now exist from Burundi to Indonesia, from Chile to Swaziland, from Mexico to Pakistan and they give young people a chance to speak out, be heard and change the world.

Since 2010, U-Report has inspired 1.8 million young people to do great things for peace and safety. U-Report has enabled Scouts and ordinary people even those with basic mobile phones, to access real-time information to make a difference at grassroots level, encouraging citizen-led campaigns for peace and allowing them to interact with decision-makers even in places without Internet connectivity. With the Scouts leading the way U-Report is being used to gather real-time data on trends, needs and interests of young people and their communities, connecting people to life-saving information and building social cohesion.
