2020–2021 Fundraising Campaign

We know Scouting has always been important to you.
We also know Scouting has never been more important than it is today.

As we navigate our way through the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as other emergency situations countries face worldwide, we see example after example of the vital role that Scouts around the world are playing in addressing this crisis in local communities. And these examples are just as prevalent in times of relative ‘calm’ where Scouts demonstrate leadership every day, driving local initiatives to tackle challenges in their communities to improve livelihoods and create positive change.

Our challenge is to ensure that the resources are available to sustain and grow Scouting — this vital global force. And this is where you come in. We invite you to join us in growing our Endowment Fund, which will help to ensure the sustainability of Scouting in perpetuity. We aim to raise USD 2 Million now through this campaign, towards the long-term goal of doubling our Endowment Fund to USD 100 Million.

How to support us?

Every Baden-Powell Fellow should have received a personalised invitation from the Fundraising Campaign Co-Chairs, Margot Bogert and Kent Clayburn. If you have not yet received this, please let us know. This special invitation provides detailed background information and information on how to donate, which we are pleased to also summarise below.

There are many ways for you to donate, in line with your preferences, means and motivations. You can also support us by "friendraising", and will be recognised for the recruitment of any new BP Fellows (see the ways to donate page).

You can also choose to upgrade to the Benefactor Circle or subsequent Circles by donating the required amount, i.e. the minimum amount for the chosen Circle minus your existing donations to date. You can make a single transfer or up to five annual instalments to our bank account. You can find detailed information on the Honours Programme here.

Fundraising Campaign Update

So, how are we doing? As of August 2021, the current total stands at over USD 2.9 Million in donations from existing BP Fellows, new BP Fellow introductions and significant pledges, including for upgrades to the Honours Programme.
