Donations in-country

The following countries have special procedures in place to manage donations to the Baden-Powell Fellowship, many of which include tax-deductions for tax-paying residents:

 Australia

The process is handled by International Department of Scouts Australia. When you live and pay your taxes in Australia, you can make your donation to Scouts Australia (WSF Fund) to receive a tax deduction. Due to the strict laws on donations in Australia, Scouts Australia cannot forward your donation to WSF, but will keep your donation in the WSF Fund within the Scouts Australia investment portfolio, and from time to time the corpus is applied to Australia-designated and approved projects. The Foundation will receive the annual return on investment, which is added to the WOSM Annual Operational Grant. Please send an email to [email protected] and we'll connect you to our colleagues in Scouts Australia to explore this option.

Canada

The process is handled by Financial Development Office of Scouts Canada. When you live and pay your taxes in Canada you can make your donation to Scouts Canada (WSF Fund) to receive a tax deduction. Due to the strict laws on donations, Scouts Canada cannot forward your donation to WSF, but will keep your donation in the WSF Fund within the Scouts Canada investment portfolio. The Foundation receives the annual return on investment, which is added to the WOSM Annual Operational Grant. Please send an email to Michelle Pearson [email protected] to explore this option.
