WSF Update Session in Rio de Janeiro
The WSF Update Session at the 76th BP Fellowship Event in Rio de Janeiro highlighted our collective progress toward fundraising goals and featured an insightful panel on the future role of fundraising within Scouting.
WSF CEO Mark Knippenberg provided BP Fellows with a comprehensive update on collective progress toward the WSF Strategy Goals, inputs onn overcoming barriers to donating and on a revised recognition model supported by WSF Board Member, Darci Swanson; Young BP Fellow and Committee Member Kristy Giacoman; and WSF Individual Giving Manager, Felipe Marqueis. A dynamic panel, moderated by Pani Petisco, Young BP Fellow and KISC Director, explored key questions: What does Scouting represent? What have we achieved over the last decade? How do contributions address current global challenges? And how will ongoing support drive Scouting’s future impact? Our thanks to our panellists Secretary General of World Scouting, Ahmad Alhendawi; Chairperson of the WSC, Daniël Corsen; and WSF Chair-Elect, Beat Wenger, for the inspiring insights.
