76th BP Fellowship Event. Sat 26 Oct.
Opening, Scout activities & Brazilian-themed networking event.
The 76th BP Fellowship Event was opened on Friday morning, 26 October, by WSF Chairperson Rob Woolford, CEO Mark Knippenberg, Scouts of Brazil President Ivan Nascimento, and 75th BP Air Scout Group President Mauricio Moutinho; introduced by Nicole Gooderson, Deputy CEO of the World Scout Foundation.
The Opening session ended with a flag break and group photo; then guests joined the 75th BP Air Scout Group Rover-led Scout activities around the Scout Group grounds and forest.
A highlight of the day was the ceremonial planting of an Ipê-amarelo tree by WSF Honorary Chairman HM King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, joined by Scouts from the 75th Air Scout Group. This action honours the Escoteiros do Brasil initiative to plant 100,000 native trees in celebration of their 100th anniversary, a project that emphasises Scouting's dedication to environmental stewardship.
In the evening, participants enjoyed a Brazilian-themed networking Dinner.
