Mr Tom Marsden

Manager, Donor Support and Research

Tom started his journey in the Scouting movement as a 5 year old Beaver Scout in Manchester, UK. Since then he has become a Queen Scout, the holder of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold award and has gone on to become an adult volunteer, thus passing on the skills, passion and dedication he has for Scouting.

In addition to his passion for Scouting, Tom has also volunteered as a teacher in Uganda for a year, holds a Masters from Lancaster University in Environment and Development and has worked for Oxfam UK in the Youth and Schools Department. Following his time at University and working for Oxfam, Tom chose to return to Scouting as a programme assistant in Kandersteg and also work as a Regional Development Officer for the UK Scout association in Manchester and London.

Tom is really looking forward to meeting many new people, places and Scouts in the position with the World Scout Foundation.
